“The person is concocting a narrative against the country’s institutions. He is a real Mir Jaffer and Mir Sadiq,” the prime minister said in a series of tweets on PML-N’s social media account.

PM Shehbaz said the ex-premier challenged the State, Constitution and public institutions in his address which was not politics but a “conspiracy against Pakistan” therefore a legal action would be initiated against him.

“The country can not be sacrificed on the basis of ego, arrogance and lies of a person. Initially Imran Niazi conspired to drown the country’s economy. Now he is trying to trigger a civil war in the country,” the statement read, adding PM Shehbaz would crush the former prime minister’s conspiracy against the country.

He added that the ex-PM was “today’s Mir Jaffer and Mir Sadiq” who wanted to “turn Pakistan into a state like Libya and Iraq”.

“Imran wanted the nation to be his slave, but 220 million people of the country, the Constitution and state institutions are not slaves of a person,” said the prime minister, adding Khan would not be allowed to become a “Pakistan’s Hitler”.

PM Shehbaz said: “Imran has uttered a number of lies. Now he has to face the truth.”
