PTI chief Imran urges overseas Pakistanis to raise voice against ‘foreign conspiracy’

ISLAMABAD: PTI chief Imran Khan has exhorted overseas Pakistanis, which according to him are the country’s “biggest asset”, to raise their voice against the apparent foreign conspiracy in their countries of origin.

In a virtual address to expatriates on Saturday, the PTI chairman reiterated that he would give a long march call towards Islamabad after May 20. Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has warned the former prime minister of creating chaos in the country and sought assurances from them for organising “peaceful and democratic” protests.

As part of his anti-government campaign, the premier would address a public gathering in Abbottabad and reiterated his onslaught against the incumbent government.

PM Imran added that he was not anti-American. But, alleged that the superpower was not in favour of a government making independent decisions.

“I would like to urge the overseas Pakistanis, especially those living in Europe and in the UK to raise the issue through various platforms in order to expose the Americans,” he added.

The former premier was also wary of the media’s apparent role in the incumbent government tenure. He claimed that the media was playing a dubious role by not reporting on the prices of essential commodities and power tariffs.
