The assessments were taken at a time when the new variant of Covid surfaced and put new restrictions on the education cycle.</strong></p> <p>According to the Outstanding Cambridge Learner <a rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank" class="link--external" href="https://file:///C:/Users/Dell/Downloads/Outstanding%20Cambridge%20Learner%20Awards%202021%20-%20Pakistan%20brochure.pdf">Awards</a>, 481 students received the ‘Top in Pakistan’ award – a category of award given to learners who have achieved the highest standard mark in their country for a single subject – and 36 received ‘Top in the World’ award – a category of award given to learners who have achieved the highest standard mark in the world for a single subject.</p> <p>“All these awards demonstrate the high standard of education in our schools and the fact that they can provide an excellent learning environment for their students that enables them to reach their potential,” Uzma Yousuf, the country director for Pakistan Cambridge Assessment International Education, was quoted as saying in the official handout.</p> <p>The year 2021 was marked with uncertainly for students, schools and the Cambridge International. Due to the government directives, in response to a spike in Covid-19 cases numerous exams in June 2021 were cancelled in Pakistan.
