PATTOKI: A lawyer was shot dead by two assailants on Multan Road in Pattoki area of Punjab on Tuesday, with the attack incident captured on CCTV.

In the video, the lawyer identified as Iqbal can be seen getting up after a white sedan mows down his motorcycle. A man steps out of the passenger seat of the sedan and apparently attacks the lawyer.

Upon realising that something is amiss, the lawyer leaves his motorcycle behind to put some distance between him and his attackers by crossing to the other side of the road.

As Iqbal is running away, another man steps out of the driving seat of the white sedan with weapon in hand and chases after the victim before gunning him down.

According to the victim's family, the lawyer had been recieving threatening phone calls and an application regarding the same had been submitted to the local police station. The victim's brother claimed that a dispute over land led to the murder and said that the person in captured on CCTV is the victim's brother-in-law.

The incident took place in the remits of the City police station.
