In its tweet, the Foreign Office pointed out that the evacuation efforts were carried out with the coordination of Pakistan's embassies in Ukraine, Poland, Hungary and Romania.

The tweet pointed out that another 84 Pakistanis were either en route or had arrived at the designated destination in order to faciltiate their return to Pakistan.

Earlier today, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that 1,131 students have crossed the border from Ukraine and more than 3000 students are still stranded there, reported state wire service APP.

Addressing a press conference at Sakrand area of district Shaheed Benazirabad, he said borders of Ukraine are attached with three countries and he has talked to the Ukrainian Foreign Minister on the issue of students.

Qureshi said that the Foreign Office is in contact with foreign ministers worldwide and taking care of our children.

As per the latest media reports, Russian forces landed in Ukraine's second-biggest city and triggered immediate clashes in the streets of Kharkiv, the military said, following Moscow's relentless air assault across the ex-Soviet state.
