Bill Gates is in Pakistan and Twitter users can't seem to handle it

Pakistan's meme game is always on point and Thursday was no exception when Microsoft founder Bill Gates was in Islamabad for a day.

The government tweeted two images of Prime Minister Imran Khan meeting with Gates and these images have been widely shared albeit with captions that tell a different story.

Khan's ex wife Reham threw a missive when she shared the image of the prime minister with Gates asking: "Can BillGates save Imran Khan? Is Imran explaining his friendship with Abraaj owner Arif Naqvi?"

Unsurprisingly she was slammed for the tweet.

One user had a novel call to action during Gates' visit.

One user thought he'd use the opportunity to poke fun at the prime minister's oft repeated phrase wherein he says he knows a subject better than most.

The prime minister knowing Microsoft more than Bill Gates was a common refrain on Twitter today.

One journalist captioned the image of Khan and Gates as the prime minister saying: "As you know Bill, I use Whatsapp everyday, so I understand software better than probably most software developers of the world."

One user had a different take on why he thought Gates was visiting Pakistan.

Another user thought it would be funny to post an image from an Akshay Kumar film asking if [Gates] had bought cash with him.

Akshay Kumar's film Hera Pheri was a favorite it seemed for some users commenting on the Gates visit.

We'd be remiss if we didn't point out the celebratory welcome Gates was accorded on Twitter.

However, some couldn't resist using the opportunity to "apply Burnol" to Indians.
