One person shared a GNN interview of former cricketer Salman Butt, who was found guilty of match-fixing. The channel was discussing the HBL PSL game, where Multan Sultans won against Quetta Gladiators by six runs.

To a question about unity on the losing side, Butt said, “I think the mindset changes a lot… earlier Sarfaraz was playing as the captain and a winning streak was continuing. The form was good, there was a positive mindset, and everything was flowing.”

He then went on to say that after hitting a purple patch, adversity rears its head and things do not work out as one intends. Butt was of the view that such situations test the leadership qualities of a player. “Now is the time where Sarfaraz has to stand out as a leader,” he said, adding that the former skipper was now playing in a new situation, an “uncertain situation,” where Sarfaraz’s inclusion in the team was doubtful.

Butt said: “Sarfaraz is fighting a fight within himself and until he wins that, he can’t have calmness and smoothness outside. Somebody needs to sit down with him and tell him this is also a phase of life.”
