Salar Sanjrani’s driver Younis also died in the accident when his car collided with an oil tanker near Lasbela. He was on his way to Quetta from Karachi.

Salar was taken to Uthal's District Headquarters Hospital and after initial treatment, he was referred to Karachi, but he died of his wounds on his way to Karachi.

In a tweet, Senate Deputy Chairman Mirza Muhammad Afridi said: "Salar Khan Sanjrani, younger brother of Senate Chairman was martyred in a road accident near Uthal."

President Arif Alvi, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and other leaders have expressed grief over the death of Salar Sanjrani.
