Uggoki Station House Officer Armaghan Maqt sent an application to register a first information report against at least 900 Rajco industry workers under sections 302, 297, 201, 427, 431, 157, 149 of the Pakistan Penal Code and 7 and 11WW of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

Hundreds of people tortured Kumara to death on December 3 and his body was set on fire over allegations of blasphemy. The incident shocked Pakistanis across sectors who condemned the incident and said it had nothing to do with Islamic teachings.

The Punjab government expressed solidarity with the Sri Lankan government and people over the brutal death of the citizen. In a statement on Twitter, the provincial government said: "We share the grief of the Sri Lankan government, the public and bereaved families over the killing of Kumara and assure the nation that the provincial government will fulfill all its responsibilities related to the incident."
