According to Aaj News, the incident took place in the Christian Colony of Korangi Town area.

As per the report, the poisonous sweets were prepared and kept in the area by an employee of the District Municipal Corporation for killing the stray dogs.

The sweets were picked up by a young boy who took them sweets to his home where his mother and others fell unconscious after consuming them. The family members were taken to the hospital for medical treatment where the boy died.

According to the child's father, the minor found the sweets lying on a motorcycle parked in the area.

Meanwhile, Karachi Administrator Murtaza Wahab has taken notice of the incident and directed the police to conduct an investigation into the matter.
