Saudi Arabia allows direct flights from Pakistan from Dec 1

Saudi Arabia has decided to allow direct flights from Pakistan from December 1, lifting a ban imposed to stem the coronavirus spread.

The development was shared by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry and Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation in separate tweets.

“Saudi Arabia [has] announced to start direct flights from Pakistan,” Fawad said.

The information minister’s update was part of “three good news” he shared in his tweet. The other two were about the Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association calling off their strike and incoming of $3 billion worth of amount from Saudi Arabia with weeks that would “settle all legal issues.”

Moreover, Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation shared a circular on Twitter, allowing direct entry into the kingdom from some banned countries.

The relaxation is also for visitors coming from Indonesia, Egypt, India, Brazil and Vietnam, according to the circular.

“It is not required to spend (14) days outside these countries before entering the Kingdom,” it read, “The application of the instructional quarantine procedures for a period of (5) days for travellers, regardless of their immunization status outside the Kingdom.”
