A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) worker appealed to the Chief Justice of Pakistan and Prime Minister Imran Khan to give her justice after she and her brother were beaten by lawyers in Malir court premises on Monday.

"I will commit suicide and chief justice [of Pakistan] will be responsible for my death," Laila Parveen said in a video and asked the CJP to cancel the licenses of all the lawyers who beat her.

In the video she also addressed Khan and said she was a PTI worker and a victim and needed help of the prime minister. Parveen also threatened to set herself on fire, if she was denied justice.

Parveen told media that she along with her brother had appeared before the court in connection with a case she lodged against her ex-husband Advocate Hasnain about a dishonoured cheque, reported Dawn.

Parveen's ex-husband had given a cheque for Rs6.5 million, which bounced when she approached the bank, she told reporters.
