Cricketer Rizwan praises young fan for “incredible” sketch

Cricketer Mohammad Rizwan expressed his admiration for a young boy who drew a sketch of the Pakistani batter. “Farhan Ali Macholvi, this is incredible,” he wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.

Referring to the boy as the “pride of our Gilgit-Baltistan,” Rizwan thanked him for his love and support.
The sketch depicts the Pakistani power hitter in his green jersey, with his bat and helmet in hands, he’s waving at his fans.

The 29-year-old cricketer scored a total of 1,743 runs for his team. He was praised for his brilliant performance in the semi-final against Australia, a match he played after spending two nights in the hospital recovering from a severe chest infection.

The batsman has won many hearts for his display of “sportsman spirits.”

In his tweet, Rizwan encouraged Farhan to “keep doing what you live.” He also said that “I strongly believe that our real assets are children. They will build a strong Pakistan.”

Captain of the Pakistani cricket team Babar Azam also received a letter from an 8-year-old fan on Saturday.

The boy expressed his love for cricket and his pride for the team in the letter and asked for the skipper’s and other’s autographs.

Referring to the young fan as “future captain” Babar promised him that his request for the autograph would be fulfilled. The team captain said that he can’t wait to get the young boy's autograph in return.
