Quoting a notification issued by the department, the report stated the officer forced the prisoner to dance on a Sindhi song in Jinnah Town Police Station, while another lady police official filmed the incident between Sept 15 to 28 last year.

The police officer was incharge of investigating the inmate on a child's murder case.

An inquiry committee headed by SP Pari Gul Tareen conducted the inquiry of the incident which showed the female inspector had violated rules and passed verbal orders in this regard.

According to the notification, the police officer conducted the inquiry into the child's murder "unprofessionally and unethically" and she also engaged in misconduct.

The inquiry officer found her guilty and recommended severe punishment under the policy rules 1975.

As per the report, the police officer was called and given ample opportunity to prove her innocence related to the incident but she failed to do so.

Later, DIG Police Muhammad Azhar Akram awarded her punishment of compulsory retirement, while five women police officials had been terminated from their service in September this year.
