Asghar was hospitalised last week after his health worsened, they said.

Asghar began his career with theater in Lahore before moving onto TV. He will be remembered for his roles in Aashti (2009), Aap ki Kaneez (2014) and Khafa Khafa Zindagi (2018) to name a few.

Tributes for the actor immediately began to pour in on social media with several people praising Asghar for his roles.

Many paid their respects in their condolence notes.
