Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed displeasure over the disunity among Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders and directed them to back federal ministers Chaudhry Fawad and Azam Swati in their dispute with the Election Commission of Pakistan, reported Geo.

According to the report, the prime minister made these comments during a core committee meeting of the PTI on Monday wherein the country's political situation was discussed following a successful agreement with the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) who had protested for atleast two weeks.

Quoting sources, a Dawn report stated the prime minister also barred the ministers from commenting on the government's deal with the TLP as he wanted to keep the party's leadership behind bars.

The premier was dissatisfied with the performance of the federal ministers during the TLP protests who were giving contradictory statements regarding the negotiations with the party and the government's perspective in dealing with the demonstrators.

Talking about insiders report, the story said, the prime minister gave the example of the Muttahida Quami Movement lawmakers and their support for each other.“When I was an MNA, the MQM lawmakers used to speak the same language,” read the report.
