      <title>PM Imran, COAS briefed on Covid response in NCOC visit

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the National Command and Operation Center.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), during the visit the prime minister and the army chief were briefed about the steps taken to curb the spread of the COVID-19. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Director-General of the NCOC Major General Asif Mehmood Goraya gave a briefing about the current situation of the coronavirus.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Major Gen Asif also highlighted the supply and management strategies for vaccination against coronavirus.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;PM Khan lauded the efforts of the NCOC and all federating units for a synergized response during the pandemic for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people of Pakistan. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The prime minister ordered all stakeholders to maximise efforts for mandatory vaccination drive and enforcement of requisite Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) and presented him the memento of NCOC on the retirement of Lieutenant General Hamood Uz Zaman Khan while also praising his tireless efforts and services.&lt;/p&gt;
