According to the report, the case was registered with the Aabpara police station under section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), Section 124-A, sedition, and Section 188, disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant, of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) and the arms ordinance.

The Islamabad Deputy Commissioner in a Twitter post confirmed that the case has been registered and the area has been cleared.

In a widely circulated video on Twitter, Aziz was threatening policemen with violence who came to remove the Afghan Taliban flag from the seminary roof top.

Meanwhile, a picture was also seen on Twitter in which hundreds of women clad in burka gathered on the roof top of the seminary where the flag was hoisted. Another picture showed Aziz who was sitting on a chair and holding a gun.

It is pertinent to mention that Twitter posts of August 20 showed that the Afghan Taliban flags had also been hoisted on the seminary roof top earlier.

Talking about a government action against Aziz, a social media user reminded people that "the 2007 military operation gave birth to the TTP [Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan]."
