&lt;p&gt;Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, he said transparent elections are imperative to strengthen parliament and democracy.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Minister said government is firmly committed to use EVMs in next general elections. He urged the opposition political parties to set aside their personal interests and work for the coming generations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Syed Shibli Faraz said parties of status quo are not willing to adopt technology in elections for their vested interests. &lt;/p&gt;
