According to the National Command and Operation Centre's COVID-19 dashboard, Pakistan conducted 53,770 tests of which 3,084 cases tested positive in the last 24 hours.

It also recorded 65 deaths from coronavirus in the same period.

This data shows a slow downward slope in cases and deaths.

The positivity rate stands at 5.73%, which is also lower than the past few weeks.

As Geo reported, the number of cases is decreasing in Pakistan, with 3,853 new infections reported on average each day. This works out to 66% of the peak — the highest daily average reported on June 17.

Pakistan has administered at least 44,736,977 doses of COVID-19 vaccines so far which works out to almost 10% of the population having been vaccinated with both doses.
