According to the report, ASI Shahid Miran lodged a report against Husain in the Ferozabad police station in Karachi.

This follows a video that Husain tweeted on Monday in which he can be seen yelling at a traffic police officer and saying the police was bribing people under the garb of checking vaccination certificate.

The PTI lawmaker was also seen telling the officer, “this is my area”.

A televangelist-cum-politician, Husain, often finds himself in the spotlight for his statements and actions criticising or objecting the rule of law.

In 2006, the Sindh government initiated a drive against tinted windows in vehicles but the officials had to abandon the campaign abruptly after a car driven by Husain, who was then the state minister for religious affairs with the MQM, was intercepted by the police.

Husain called then home minister Rauf Siddiqui and complained about his car being stopped. The then Muttahida Quami Movement provincial minister rushed to the spot after which Husain was let off.

In what was then considered a move to protest the special allowances made to Husain, the Sindh police refused to continue the campaign agains tinted windows.
