      <title>Pakistan records 2,783 new Covid cases

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan has reported 2,783 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours with a bulk of them in Sindh, marking third day of 2,000 cases. The country's positivity rate stands at 5.6%&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to NCOC, 49,247 people were tested for the infection of which 2,783 tested positive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Friday's figure takes the total to 986,668.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;39 people succumbed to coronavirus in the last 24 hours. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to figures reported in Dawn, the breakdown of cases is as follows:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sindh: 1,631
Punjab: 415
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 167
Balochistan: 180
Islamabad: 133
Gilgit Baltistan: 78
Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 179&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Earlier on Friday the NCOC tweeted vaccine statistics: &lt;/p&gt;
