&lt;p&gt;He tweeted that the prime minister had extended the invitation during a phone call on Wednesday. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He described the call as an important development and one that would help find a solution to the country's problems. He said details of the conference would be revealed soon. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan has expressed concerns about the deteriorating security situation in Afghanistan in the past weeks, especially after the US withdrew its troops after decades long war. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has spoken of concerns of an influx of refugees fleeing Afghanistan, saying Pakistan was not ready to deal with this situation. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;On Wednesday the Pakistan government sealed the border at Chaman after reports of the Taliban seizing Spin Boldak crossing. The Afghan government denied these reports. &lt;/p&gt;
