      <title>LHC orders lower judiciary judges to abstain from using social media

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered the judges of the lower judiciary of Punjab to abstain from using social media.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The court also ordered the judges of the district judiciary to leave all non-governmental WhatsApp groups.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Lahore High Court also hinted at disciplinary action against the judges who did not comply with the orders.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;After the approval of Chief Justice Amir Bhatti of the Lahore High Court, a letter was sent to the judges of the district judiciary, asking them to leave all the non-governmental WhatsApp groups.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Judicial officers should limit their social life and district court judges should use only official WhatsApp groups, the LHC letter said.&lt;/p&gt;
