Bilawal slams PML-N for attempts to "beg its way" to power

In what analysts have described as a hard hitting speech, Bilawal Bhutto slammed its former PDM ally the PML-N on a host of issues but without naming them directly. The PPP chairperson was addressing a rally in AJK ahead of the upcoming elections.

While he continued to slam the PTI government, he upped the ante on the PML-N blaming them for "giving space" to the current government.

Addressing the rally in Abbaspur he said the crowds gathered here should prove to the detractors who say his party is finished.

“This is just a trailer; the PPP has now set off its journey. It was thriving yesterday, it is thriving today and in the days to come you will see only PPP.”

He also asked the crowds to see through the PTI's "sell out" on Kashmir and incompetence at governance.

“You will have to make a decision that whether you want a selected and incompetent government and a puppet prime minister in Azad Kashmir? If not, you will have to throw your weight behind the PPP.”

Elections in AJK are scheduled for July 25.

Bhutto Zardari's ire, however, seemed directed to rumors that the PML-N was in negotiations with the establishment to form a government. Without directly naming opposition leader Shehbaz Sharif, he said the PML-N was ready to beg to come into power.

He said his party was ready to back a no-confidence move against the Prime Minister but "we will not become a part of a political alliance to eat halwa or nihari in the future," he said in his now trademark sarcastic tone.
