Chaudhry was replying to a tweet which listed the mega development projects Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced in his trip to Gwadar on Monday.

Khan also said his government was contemplating talks with Baloch insurgent groups, adding that he intends to address the grievances of the people of Balochistan by developing the province rather than just wanting to win elections.

In Tuesday’s tweet, the information minister said the federal government planned to spend Rs731bn to complete a total of 131 projects in the province. Furthermore, he also mentioned that the development package for the Balochistan government for this year was Rs180bn.

Many people responded to Chaudhry’s tweet by reminding him of the frustration at the authorities who address only certain areas and cherry-pick peoples’ worries.

A user mentioned how the situation of Balochistan is different and requires "ownership, sincerity and better planning"

Another user brought in the mention of the leaders of nationalist and religious parties, stating that the money should be used under the "supervision of the federal government"

Some praised the initiative taken by the government.

While others noted the focus on Gwadar stating that "in your heart there is neither Balochistan nor Baloch."

Another user mentioned the conditions of health facilities after power outages.

A user in a series of tweets mentioned Imran Khan's address to local elders, students and business leaders in Gwadar. He remarked that a "conducive environment" for the talks is necessary before insurgents are reached out to.
