      <title>COVID-19: Pakistan reports 46 deaths, 1,119 news cases

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan on Thursday has reported 46 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,119 new cases in the last 24 hours.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to &lt;a href="https://ncoc.gov.pk/"&gt;statistics&lt;/a&gt; shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 37,196 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which only 1,119 came out positive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are currently 2,494 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted to different hospitals in the country, 4 new critical cases were reported. The reported national positivity rate is 3.01%.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed active cases stands at 36,215. Pakistan has so far recorded 945,184 confirmed cases, 21,874 deaths, and a total of 887,095 recoveries from the novel disease.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As per the numbers shared by the Ministry of National Health Service, 93.9% of the total confirmed cases have recovered while the mortality rate is 2.3%.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Currently, most active cases are reported in Sindh (19,958) followed by Punjab (10,448), and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (3,093). There are currently 1,264 active cases in Islamabad, 474 in Azad Jammu &amp;amp; Kashmir, 860 in Balochistan, and 118 in Gilgit Baltistan.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Vaccination update:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to the latest numbers shared by the NCOC, Pakistan has so far administered 12,065,211 vaccine doses. 3,107,688 people are fully vaccinated while 6,201,218 have received at least one dose.&lt;/p&gt;
