The SAPM categorically denied the reports that there is a shortage of coronavirus vaccines in Pakistan. He said that there is no truth in such claims and such rumors are being circulated to discredit the federal government. He announced that 2 million doses are still in stock and are being reallocated to centers where demand is high. He also assured the public that the next batch of doses is expected to arrive in Pakistan soon after June 20.

Pakistan's de-facto health minister further said that so far more than 12 million vaccine doses have been administered across the country.

Replying to one of the most frequently asked questions regarding missing the second dose appointment, Sultan said that there is no need to worry if you couldn't get the second dose in time, the 2nd dose of vaccine can be obtained within 6-7 weeks after 1st dose as it remains effective within this period. But it's recommended that you complete your vaccine course at the earliest.
