      <title>COVID-19: Pakistan reports 46 deaths, 1,038 news cases

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan on Wednesday has reported 46 COVID-19 related deaths and 1,038 new cases in the last 24 hours.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to &lt;a href="https://ncoc.gov.pk/"&gt;statistics&lt;/a&gt; shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 42,113 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which only 1,038 came out positive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are currently 2,490 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted to different hospitals in the country, no new critical cases were reported. The reported national positivity rate is 2.46%.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed active cases stands at 39,905. Pakistan has so far recorded 944,065 confirmed cases, 21,828 deaths, and a total of 882,332 recoveries from the novel disease.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As per the numbers shared by the Ministry of National Health Service, 93.5% of the total confirmed cases have recovered while the mortality rate is 2.3%.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Currently, most active cases are reported in Sindh (23,125) followed by Punjab (10,699), and Khyber Pakhtunkhawa (3,267). There are currently 1,331 active cases in Islamabad, 487 in Azad Jammu &amp;amp; Kashmir, 885 in Balochistan, and 111 in Gilgit Baltistan.&lt;/p&gt;
