      <title>Punjab govt revises school timings amid heatwave

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas Thursday announced to revise school timings owing to the current heatwave in the province.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Taking to Twitter, the provincial minister announced the new schedule. He made it clear that all public and private schools must comply with the new directives. In a tweet, he said:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"ANNOUNCEMENT: All Public and Private Schools of Punjab to comply with the following New School Timing Schedule: 7 am to 11:30 am. Please follow SOPs issued by the government."&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Earlier the federal government had also announced a new schedule on Wednesday. According to a notification issued by the authorities. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As per the new rules, schools can only run on 50% capacity with two shifts to accommodate all students. The first shift can be run from 7 am till 11 am from Monday to Thursday. While the second shift can take place on Friday and Saturday at the same timings. &lt;/p&gt;
