      <title>Board exams to be held for elective subjects only, announces Shafqat Mehmood

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood on Wednesday said that board exams will be held for elective subjects only&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Addressing a press conference, the minister said that grades will not be given without examinations.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He said that the 9th and 10th examinations will be for 4 subjects. The O' level examinations will be held from July 26 to August 6.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Shafqat Mahmood further said that 11th and 12th exams will be held before and then the exams for grade 9th and 10th will be held. He said that provincial education ministers wanted exam results to be finalised and released by the third week of September.&lt;/p&gt;
