      <title>Covid Update: 2,455 cases and 73 casualties reported in the past 24 hours

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Of late, Pakistan has been seeing a significant decline in the number of new coronavirus cases being reported. Yesterday, &lt;strong&gt;2,455&lt;/strong&gt; cases were detected in the country making it the 5th consecutive day when less than 3,000 cases were reported in the country.  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to the Ministry of National Health Services, the latest COVID-19 situation of Pakistan is as follows: &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• Total cases reported to date have reached &lt;strong&gt;916,239&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• &lt;strong&gt;55,442&lt;/strong&gt; tests were conducted in the last 24 hours out of which &lt;strong&gt;2,455&lt;/strong&gt; returned positive. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• Positivity ratio of &lt;strong&gt;4.42%&lt;/strong&gt; reported in the past 24 hours.   &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• &lt;strong&gt;13,113,393&lt;/strong&gt; Covid-19 tests have been conducted to date. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• Total deaths reported to date have reached at least &lt;strong&gt;20,680&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• Number of Covid-deaths reported in the past 24 hours is &lt;strong&gt;73&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• Active cases currently present in the country are &lt;strong&gt;58,857&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• The number of critically ill patients who are hospitalized currently across Pakistan is &lt;strong&gt;4,083&lt;/strong&gt;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;• With &lt;strong&gt;2,136&lt;/strong&gt; recoveries reported yesterday, the number of patients who have fully recovered from the viral disease has reached &lt;strong&gt;836,702&lt;/strong&gt;. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Among all the regions of Pakistan, in terms of the total cases reported, Punjab has been hit worst with Sindh being the close second. But it must be noted that Sindh has reported a much higher number of positive cases per capita. Documented tallies of all regions are as follows:  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;    Punjab: 338,377  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;     Sindh: 315,410  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;     Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 131,775  &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;     Islamabad Capital Territory: 81,007   &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;     Balochistan: 25,001   &lt;/p&gt;
