      <title>Pakistan to open vaccine registration for citizens aged 19 and above, says Asad

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) chief and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar on Wednesday said Pakistan will start registering persons aged 19 and above for coronavirus vaccination from tomorrow (Thursday).&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The NCOC chief said the decision to open registrations have been taken after a crucial NCOC meeting. In a tweet Asad said:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"In today's NCOC meeting we decided to open up vaccination registration for all 19 years and above. This registration will start tomorrow. So now registration will be open for the entire national population which is approved by health experts for covid vaccination."&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan has so far managed to administrate a total of 5,358,808 doses. 1,286,429 people have been fully vaccinated while 2,857,746 have received partial vaccination. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Current status of COVID-19:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan on Wednesday has reported 2,724 new cases and 65 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours as the positivity rate keeps on dropping.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to statistics shared by NCOC, 59,076 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which 2,724 came out positive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are currently 4,242 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted to different hospitals in the country. And the reported positivity rate is 4.61%.&lt;/p&gt;
