      <title>Pakistan vaccinates more than 200,000 people in one day: Asad Umar

      <description>&lt;p&gt;Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiative Asad Umar on Wednesday shared that Pakistan has vaccinated more than 200,000 people against COVID-19 in the last 24 hours.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;In a tweet, the National Coordination and Operation Center (NCOC) chief said more than 5 million people have so far registered for the vaccination. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He urged masses to register themselves if they are above the age of 40 and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for protection from the novel disease meanwhile.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Current situtaion of COVID-19 in Pakistan:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan has reported 4,113 new cases and 119 COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours as the country struggles with the third wave of coronavirus.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to statistics shared by NCOC, the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 44,838 coronavirus tests were taken countrywide, of which 4,113 came out positive.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are currently 5,211 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country. And the reported positivity rate is 9.17%.&lt;/p&gt;
