&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;6,127 new cases&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; - It's the country's fourth highest-ever one-day tally reported in the pandemic yet. With the top 3 tallies reported at the peak of the first wave of COVID-19 in mid-June, yesterday's tally is highest in the ongoing third wave. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;149 new deaths&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; - It's the country's third highest-ever one-day tally reported in the pandemic yet. With the top 2 death tallies reported also at the peak of the first wave of COVID-19 in mid-June, yesterday's count is highest in the ongoing third wave. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;&lt;em&gt;71,836 PCR Covid-19 tests&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt; conducted in the past 24 hours in Pakistan- it's the highest number of tests conducted in the country in a single day yet.  &lt;/p&gt;

Total tests conducted: 11,144,367

Critical cases: 4,446     

The positivity rate of last 24 hours: 8.52%

&lt;p&gt;Among all the provinces of the country, the most number of new coronavirus cases were detected in Punjab in the past 24 hours as &lt;strong&gt;3,562&lt;/strong&gt; Punjabis tested positive. This statistic indicates that the lethal flu bug is rampant in the most populous region of the country.  &lt;/p&gt;
