Nosheen Iftikhar declared victor in Daska by-election

PML-N's Nosheen Iftikhar won the hotly contested re-election in Daska and gained victory over PTI's Ali Asjad Malhi according to official results by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

Nosheen Iftikhar secured 110,075 votes in the election while her main opponent was able to gain 93,433 votes. The difference of 16,642 votes helped her secure the hotly contested election for Daska NA-75.

Other than the two main contestants Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan's (TLP) Khalil Sandhu came in third with 8,268 votes.

The seat had fell vacant after PML-N's Syed Iftikharul Hassan otherwise known as Zahry Shah passed away in August 2020. The re-election was covered in debate after the ECP withheld results of the by-poll held in February 2021 due to reports of rigging and political controversy over the disappearance of 20 presiding officers.
