According to reports, the earthquake tremors were reportedly across upper Pakistan, including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Azad Kashmir.

Earthquake tremors were also felt across India, Pakistan and parts of Central Asia, including Tajikistan.

Some reports suggest that the quake also jolted parts of Afghanistan.

According to sources, the earthquake was recorded at a magnitude of 6.4.

The earthquake felt in Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi lasted at least a few seconds with several aftershocks.

Residents in these areas abandoned homes and came to the streets for safety.
