Pakistan is expecting to receive another half a million doses of China's Sinopharm vaccine tomorrow (Monday). The vaccine will be delivered via a special flight of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force, The News reported on Sunday.

“China is donating a second consignment of the Sinopharm vaccine to Pakistan, which will reach Islamabad on Monday, February 8, 2021, through special transport aircraft of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force," The News reported while quoting a Pakistani government official.

After receiving the first batch, Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday launched vaccination against the deadly coronavirus.

It was declared that frontline health workers will be vaccinated in the first phase using the doses gifted by the neighboring country. So far, over 12,000 frontline healthcare workers have been vaccinated.
