      <title>COVID-19: Pakistan reports 1615 new cases, 26 deaths in 24 hours

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan on Monday has reported 1615 new cases and 26 deaths COVID-19 related deaths in the last 24 hours.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;According to statistics shared by National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), the country's nerve center for unified efforts against coronavirus, 34,785 coronavirus tests were taken, 1,615 new confirmed cases were registered, and 26 deaths were reported countrywide in the last 24 hours.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;There are currently 2,092 critical patients of COVID-19 admitted at different hospitals in the country. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With these latest statistics, the country's total number of confirmed cases stands at 546,428. Pakistan has so far recorded 11,683 coronavirus related deaths, and a total of 501,252 patients have recovered from the novel disease. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Pakistan received the first batch of vaccine:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Pakistan on Monday received the first batch of 0.5 million doses of Sinopharm vaccine, gifted by China, to help Pakistan combat COVID-19.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan took to Twitter to share the news. In his tweet, SAPM said:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"Alhamdulilah the first batch of Sinopharm vaccine has arrived! Grateful to China and everyone who made this happen. NCOC &amp;amp; provinces played an instrumental role in tackling COVID. I salute our frontline healthcare workers for their efforts &amp;amp; they'll be the first to get vaccinated."&lt;/p&gt;
