      <title>FM Qureshi, US Secretary discuss Afghan peace and regional stability

&lt;p&gt;During the conversation, FM Qureshi highlighting the transformation in Pakistan and stressed that the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan had a new vision that placed a premium on forging an economic partnership, building a peaceful neighborhood, and enhancing regional connectivity.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The two leaders exchanged views on Afghan peace and committed to working towards reduction in violence securing an inclusive political solution in Afghanistan.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The US Secretary of State conveyed his concerns over Supreme Court's recent decision to set Omar Saeed Sheik free. Sheikh is a primary suspect in the murder of the Wall Street Journal reporter and South Asia bureau chief Daniel Pearl in 2002.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"The Foreign Minister also highlighted Pakistan’s resolute measures as well as immense sacrifices in the fight against terrorism," the FO said in a statement and added, "Secretary Blinken recalled U.S.–Pakistan cooperation over the years and noted that the two countries had a range of areas to engage on. He acknowledged the sacrifices of the people of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism."&lt;/p&gt;
