      <title>700 new coronavirus cases reported in Punjab

      <description>&lt;p&gt;According to the statistics shared by &lt;em&gt;National Command and Operations Center (NCOC)&lt;/em&gt;, the most populous province of Pakistan has reported a total of &lt;strong&gt;154,717&lt;/strong&gt; coronavirus cases to date. In the last 24 hours, &lt;strong&gt;700&lt;/strong&gt; new cases were confirmed in Punjab. Also, at least &lt;strong&gt;4,608&lt;/strong&gt; Punjabis have succumbed to the deadly flu bug. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As of today, the National Covid tally has reached &lt;strong&gt;535,914&lt;/strong&gt; and at least &lt;strong&gt;11,376&lt;/strong&gt; people have died due to the viral disease in the country. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, and Gujranwala are the five most adversely affected districts of Punjab. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Lahore, alone, has reported &lt;strong&gt;77,963&lt;/strong&gt; Covid-19 cases and accounts for more than 50% of the provincial cases. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Recently, the Punjab government has announced that it is all set to begin Covid vaccination in the province. In the first phase, health care providers will be given jabs. So far, over 300,000 health workers have been registered for this purpose, authorities claim. &lt;/p&gt;
