Javed Iqbal, in a statement, said references against corrupt people were filed based on the basis of concrete evidence collected by NAB officials. “NAB is on the right track due to the commitment of its officials. Solid evidence of billions of rupees money-laundering are available, which were laundered by opening fake accounts in the names of ‘falooda walas’, ‘chhabri walas’ and ‘paupar walas’," he maintained.

Former Supreme Court (SC) Justice said that NAB is investigating mega corruption cases which require cooperation from national as well as international organizations, thus it requires time. However, he promised a logical conclusion to the mega corruption cases.

Javed Iqbal said the bureau will investigate the flour and sugar scam diligently and as per law. Quoting the Father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, NAB chief said that Jinnah had rightly identified bribery and nepotism as the main curses.

while addressing the credibility of NAB he said the watchdog is considered a role model organisation by the Saarc countries, and added that Transparency International Pakistan, PILDAT, Mishal Pakistan have lauded NAB's anti-corruption endeavours.
