      <title>The cabinet committee authorizes procurement of more than 1 million vaccines: Asad Umar

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The cabinet committee for procurement of vaccines held a meeting on Wednesday and authorized the procurement of more than 1 million vaccines against COVID-19, shared Federal Minister of Planning and Development Asad Umar.&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The federal minister took to Twitter to share the news. In his tweet, Asad said that the vaccine will be used to cover all frontline health workers.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Asad further added that the government is waiting for the approval of the vaccine from the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP):&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;"Held a meeting of cabinet committee for procurement of vaccines.
  Authorized procurement of more than 1 million vaccines which will
  cover all frontline health workers, as soon as DRAP expert committee
  approves vaccine. The target is to deploy these vaccines within the
  1st quarter of 2021."&lt;/p&gt;
