105 Covid deaths in a single day take the national tally past 9,000

Yesterday's death tally of Pakistan was the highest single-day tally since June 30.

This fall, the second wave of coronavirus is wreaking havoc on several countries and Pakistan is no exception. It's proving to be deadlier than the first one as tens of people are succumbing to the viral infection daily.

Pakistan's latest coronavirus statistics provided by the federal government are as follows:

Confirmed Cases: 445,977
Cases reported in the last 24 hrs: 2,731

Deaths: 9,010
Deaths reported in the last 24 hours: 105

Active Cases: 48,369

Recoveries: 388,598

The last time Pakistan reported over 100 COVID-19 deaths in a single day was five and a half months ago i.e. on June 30 when 143 fatalities were reported in a day.
