      <title>NCOC finalises coronavirus vaccine procurement recommendations, says Asad Umar

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar, on Monday, revealed that the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) has finalized recommendations for the procurement of coronavirus vaccines.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Asad took to Twitter to share that these recommendations were suggested by a task force of experts headed by Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on health Dr. Faisal Sultan and will be submitted to the cabinet tomorrow for approval.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;"NCOC today finalized its recommendations for procurement of covid vaccine. These will be presented to the cabinet tomorrow for approval. The task force of experts headed by SAPM health Dr. Faisal Sultan had developed the recommendations which were discussed and finalized today."&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Earlier this month, the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC), headed by Advisor to PM on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh, approved a $150 million grant to secure the purchase of vaccination after the prime minister approved the summary. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Pakistani mission in Washington also approached two US-based large pharmaceutical companies for the advance booking to obtain vaccination for the citizens. However, the envoy was turned down by the respective companies.&lt;/p&gt;
