Govt seals Multan's Qilla Kohna Qasim Bagh as PDM gears up preparations for rally

MULTAN: The local administration on Friday has sealed Qilla Kohna Qasim Bagh in Multan with containers as Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) has started preparations to hold rally on November 30 despite government’s ban on public gatherings due to coronavirus outbreak.

According to details, 30 containers have been placed around the venue to bar the opposition parties from conducting the rally.

Responding to the move, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former Prime Minister (PM) Yousaf Raza Gilani has asked whether only PDM is bound to follow the law. Workers are being arrested from their houses, he claimed.

On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz said that she will attend the PDM Multan rally on the instructions of party supremo and ex-PM Nawaz Sharif.

Maryam Nawaz said in her statement that Nawaz Sharif had directed her to forget personal grief and participate in the rally.
