      <title>NCOC asks citizens to to report COVID-19 SOP violations

      <description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Saturday asked citizens help to report any violations of COVID-19 SOPs as the coronavirus positivity rate exceeds 3% in Pakistan.&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;NCOC chairman and Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar took to Twitter to appeal to masses help for SOP compliance:&lt;/p&gt;

  &lt;p&gt;With the arrival of the 2nd wave &amp;amp; continued widescale violation of
  sop's, NCOC has decided to seek citizens to help for sop compliance.
  Wherever you see violations taking place..Mask wearing in crowded

  the location.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Special Assistant to the PM on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan on Thursday notified the public regarding the increasing coronavirus positivity rate of Pakistan. The positivity rate means the number of people testing positive for the virus out of the total number of tests conducted daily. Dr. Faisal showed his concern regarding the surge in daily coronavirus cases in Pakistan. He took to Twitter and wrote:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;blockquote&gt;
  &lt;p&gt;"COVID-19 data from the last 24 hours [indicate] 908 new cases.
  Positivity percentage &gt;3%. Sixteen deaths. These numbers tell an
  unmistakable story. We are experiencing the beginning of our 2nd wave
  which can put lives at risk and put many livelihoods at risk and put
  pressure on our health system."&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;/blockquote&gt;

&lt;p&gt;He advised the public to follow the SOPs religiously or the government will be forced to impose strict restrictions:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan on Friday were recorded 11,864 as 1,078 more people tested positive for the deadly virus during the last 24 hours.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Twenty corona patients, 17 of whom were under treatment in hospital and three out of hospital died on Thursday, according to the latest update issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).&lt;/p&gt;
