RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that Pakistan has paid a very high price to achieve peace and stability and any attempt to destabilise the country will be firmly responded to.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations statement, the COAS expressed these views while presiding today’s Corps Commanders Conference held at GHQ Rawalpindi. The apex meeting discussed geo-strategic, regional and national security environment.

The meeting also took a comprehensive review of the recent surge in terrorist incidents in the country, particularly in tribal districts and Balochistan.

The forum paid glowing tributes to all civil and military martyrs for their sacrifices and concluded that both geographical and ideological frontiers of the country will be defended at all costs.

The COAS said that, “We have paid a very heavy price to achieve this peace & stability & any attempt to destabilise the country will be responded firmly”. NNI
