The sixth death anniversary of Aitzaz Hasan, who laid his life to stop the attempt of a suicide bomber to enter his school in Hangu, is being observed today.

On January 6, 2014, Hasan, who was a grade-nine student sacrificed his life while preventing a young suicide bomber from entering his school where students were holding the morning assembly. He not only became a national hero after he saved hundreds of lives but cemented his legacy forever.

He grabbed the suicide bomber at main gate to prevent him from entering the school. Later the brave departed soul of Hasan was awarded with Sitara-e-Shujaat for his bravery.
