&lt;p&gt;Lucknowi Lentils&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Ingredients&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Toor daal â€“ 1 cup&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Turmeric â€“ Â½ tsp&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Green chilies (chopped) â€“ 2&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Heeng â€“ Â½ tsp&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Garlic (Chopped) â€“ 5 to 6&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Cumin seeds â€“ 1tsp&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Chilies (Dried Red) â€“ 3&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Milk â€“ Â¾ cup&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ghee â€“ 2tbsps&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Salt as per taste&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Method&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Boil lentil (dal) with green chilies, turmeric powder, salt and 1.5 cups of water till done.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Once it cooked, transfer it in bottom pan and let it simmer on low flame.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Heat ghee in another pan, add cumin seed, red chilies.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Add heeng and then immediately add into the bubbling daal.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Cover the dal.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;After a minute, add milk and let it simmer for 2 miuntes.&lt;/li&gt;
